Jan 4, 2017 - Jane Morse-Swett

Wednesday January 4th 2017 Mixer from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

To start off the new year our speaker is Jane Morse-Swett. Jane arrived in Florida after spending 22 years living in Brasil, Germany and Spain. She settled in St. Petersburg and started working for Gulfcoast Oncology. She stayed with Gulfcoast for 20 years and then worked for Florida Cancer Specialists for one year. While with Gulfcoast, she started as a receptionist and ended up as the director of the Gulfcoast Oncology Foundation. She was the front office manager for a number of years; her heart is with the patients. She started support groups, organized cancer awareness programs, caregiver groups and ongoing fund raisers to help patients with non-medical financial assistance. One of the founders of Happy Hands in Rio de Janeiro, co-authored a bi-lingual cook book and also raised money for an orphanage in the heart of Rio. Involved with the American International schools in Brasil, Germany and Spain. Taught English as a second language.

Jane won the Bay News 9 Medical Hero award in 2006, and was on the: Board of Hospice, Board of the American Cancer Society, Member of Association of Fundraising Professional, Celma Mastry Ovarian Foundation, plus the award for Shining Light of the ACS. In addition Jane is the Founder of Women with Purpose which she started in 2012 which is for like-minded women and men making a difference in our community by raising funds for LOCAL non-profits and women with disabilities. Her vision is to Give Where You Live.

Feb 8 - Maria Walkiewicz

Maria Walkiewicz the Donor Development Manager from Cause Genesis is our speaker this month.

Maria provides innovative marketing solutions to non- profit organizations. Her mission is to help charities raise more money and grow their donor base. The Cause Genesis solution is a hands-free platform requiring almost no effort on the part of the charitable organization. Every donation from store purchases funnel directly to the cause. Cause Genesis provides innovative marketing solutions for nonprofit organizations. Maria is the liaison between the company and the organization. She assists non-profits with marketing to their donors to raise awareness for their cause and increase charitable donations. Come learn more about this innovation in non-profit fund raising. March 8 - Toby Martini

Our speaker at the March mixer (3-8-17, at Mugs Sports Bar & Grille, 5:30pm to 7:30pm) is Mr. Toby Martini from the local chapter of the non-profit: "Because I said I would".

Because I said I would .... is an international social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept.
Our Tampa Bay chapter seeks to end suffering establish peace and build happiness through local volunteer projects.
As we help build a stronger community, our members also look to improve as individuals through our personal promises and thought-provoking learning opportunities.
Come learn more about "Because I said I would" as well as network with many other like-minded and positive people.
As always there will be some light snacks and door prizes so be sure to RSVP.
